Kim Braly, RD
Kimberly Braly is a pediatric dietitian at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She has been an active member of the IBD center over the past four years. With her IBD team she helped establish and develop the IBD nutrition program, implementing the most up-to-date practices and pioneering nutrition research. Her nutrition interest stemmed from a passion in preventive medicine, working to change disease processes through diet. After observing the positive and negative effects diet can play in inflammatory bowel disease, she believes in the motto “we are what we eat.” With expertise in GI and IBD nutrition, Kim will be teaching other IBD providers across the country successful diet therapy implementation, with involvement in an upcoming multi-center study this winter.
“The children and families I am privileged to work with inspire me to do my best because it takes the entire family. For many, this involves drastic dietary changes. In addition to working with the families, my goal is to be the number one diet supporter for each patient. I strive to educate children and families to make the best food choices to feel well and grow optimally.”
